The Mirage-2000 fighter jet, which Ukraine received from France, crashed. The pilot managed to eject.

The AFU Air Force reports this in Telegram.

"In the evening of July 22, 2025, while performing a flight mission on a Mirage-2000 fighter jet, there was a failure of aviation equipment, about which the pilot reported to the flight director," the Air Force noted.

After that, the pilot acted competently - he successfully ejected. The search and rescue team has already found the pilot, his condition is stable.

Nobody on the ground was injured in the incident.

The Air Force specified that a special commission has already been appointed to find the causes of the accident.

Mirage-2000

Mirage 2000 is a French fourth-generation multirole fighter aircraft developed by Dassault Aviation in the late 1970s.

It was a development of the Mirage line of aircraft and was created to replace the aging Mirage III and Mirage 5 models. The aircraft features a delta wing, high maneuverability and the ability to carry a wide range of weapons - from air-to-air guided missiles to corrective bombs and air-to-ground missiles. The Mirage 2000 was actively used by the French Air Force and exported to more than 8 countries.

Thanks to its ease of maintenance and adaptation to modern weapons standards, the Mirage 2000 is still relevant in a number of countries.
