Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has instructed to form a delegation for negotiations with the Russian side, it will be headed by Rustem Umerov, who has now taken the post of the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, and before that was the defense minister of Ukraine. "Held a meeting regarding the results of negotiating work necessary for Ukraine... I instructed to form a delegation for negotiations with the Russian side. Rustem Umerov will head the delegation, the delegation will include representatives of Ukrainian intelligence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Office of the President," Zelensky informed.

He said that the head of the Office of the President Andrey Yermak reported on the coordination of our diplomatic work with partners in Europe and the United States.

"Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov reported on the implementation of the agreements of the second meeting with the Russian side in Istanbul and the agreement on a new meeting in the near future. Ukraine is ready to work as productively as possible for the sake of the release of our people from captivity and the return of abducted children, as well as to stop the killings and for the sake of preparing a meeting of leaders for the real end of this war. Our position is as transparent as possible. Ukraine never wanted this war, and it is Russia that should end the war that it itself started," the Ukrainian president wrote.
