Minsk Automobile Plant is under serious pressure in the Russian market due to "tough and unfair competition." This was stated by Deputy General Director of MAZ Alexander Ignatiuk on air of STV TV channel.

According to him, the Russian market is an extremely competitive environment, where, in addition to local manufacturers, who actually control the situation, Chinese companies are also actively involved.

- We feel the pressure from both Russian players, who are essentially the masters of the market, and from Chinese manufacturers, actively promoting their products, - said Ignatiuk. - Despite this, MAZ has its own niche and an established share.

At the same time he emphasized that the fight for the market is not always fair. This is especially noticeable in St. Petersburg, where cases of fire of Belarusian MAZ vehicles have been recorded.

- The competition is aggressive, including in the price category. Some methods clearly go beyond the limits of business ethics," added Ignatiuk, emphasizing that the Belarusians try to act openly and transparently.
