Russians wait in lines for hours to enter the annexed peninsula.

Multi-kilometer car queues have formed on the Crimean bridge. The number of those wishing to get to the peninsula by car has reached the maximum for the seven-year history of the crossing, writes Mash. On July 20, the traffic jam from the Taman side stretched for 22 kilometers, about 1,700 cars lined up. The previous record - 17 kilometers - was set in 2024. The temperature in Crimea now exceeds 30 degrees.

The situation remains difficult. On Monday morning, the operational telegram channel of the Crimean Bridge Information Center reported that 1,270 cars had piled up in the queue for entry. The waiting time is more than three hours. The Russian Union of Travel Industry recommended drivers to choose alternative routes to travel to Crimea, as well as to stock up on drinking water and necessary things in case of long delays on the way.

The operational channel now also publishes a forecast of the load of inspection points: from the Taman side there are 60 of them, and from the Kerch side - 50. According to this data, the least traffic on the bridge is expected at night and early morning, the maximum queues - in the daytime. The largest number of cars from Taman side accumulates in the morning on Monday and Tuesday. From Kerch side, the maximum load was recorded from noon on Thursday and Friday. The maximum waiting time in the queue is 4 hours. On average, it takes 6 minutes to inspect one passenger car, Rosavtodor reported.

The annexed peninsula can also be reached by rail or through the occupied territories of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya regions. Meanwhile, six trains to and 11 from Crimea are delayed for up to 5 hours due to falling drone debris at the Kamenolomni station in the Rostov region, Russian Railways said.

22 kilometers is the new record length of the traffic jam on the Crimean bridge in the 7+ years since the crossing opened. About 1,700 cars are in a huge queue from the Taman side.
