The idea is going to be realized in stages.
Azerbaijan plans to close all Russian-language schools. According to preliminary data, this idea is going to be implemented in stages.
This is reported by parents of pupils who received relevant messages in school groups in WhatsApp, writes Oxu.Az. It is noted that this process will take place gradually.
In particular, within the next three years, all Russian-language educational institutions should switch to teaching in Azerbaijani. For this purpose, it is planned to organize retraining courses for teachers.
The official goal of such reforms is strengthening the status of Azerbaijani language as the main language of education and integration of all citizens into a single educational environment.
It is worth noting that since late June, the conflict between Azerbaijan and Russia has flared up. Baku accused Russia of killing two detained Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg, and both countries have been conducting raids and arrests. However, it did not end there, and the Azerbaijani media recalled the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane, which was shot down by Russian air defense six months ago.
