Budanov revealed the details.
CRPA antennas for enemy Shahed drones that improve navigation even in radio jamming conditions were developed by an engineer in Ukraine. He died in Russia. This was reported by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Kirill Budanov, writes "Channel 24".
According to him, CRPA antennas for Shahed-type attack drones were developed by a Ukrainian engineer in the 2000s. No one was interested in his development in Ukraine, so he moved to Russia and offered it there. He later died tragically.
"Now one of them died tragically in some way, one is still living too, apparently not for long," Budanov said.
The occupiers integrated a 16-element CRPA antenna on the Shahed. It interferes with Ukrainian electronic warfare.
See note: CRPA antenna is a special navigation antenna, which is able to ensure high-quality positioning of the drone in space even in the presence of active enemy radio interference.
