The Romanian county of Tulcea was under threat.

Romania put F-16 fighter jets in the air because of the Russian drone attack on neighboring regions of Ukraine on the night of Wednesday, July 2.

The Romanian Defense Ministry's press service reported this, writes European Truth.

The National Military Command Center informed the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations to take measures to alert the population in Tulcea County, and RO-Alert alerts were transmitted.

At 23:15, two F-16 aircraft of the Romanian Air Force flew out to monitor the situation in the air.

The Romanian side informed allied structures in real time about the situation resulting from Russian attacks on Ukraine.

"The Ministry of National Defense condemns these attacks by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian civilian facilities and infrastructure, which are unjustified and seriously contradict international law," the statement said.

On the night of July 2, Russia attacked the Vilkovska community in Odessa Region with attack drones. Some of the enemy drones managed to be shot down, but there is also damage.
