‘Lukashenka Constantly Sending Signals’

The dictator's statements are not worth a picayune.

Ukrainian journalist Dmytro Gordon said what is behind Lukashenka's latest statements about Ukraine. The Belarusian dictator is again trying to portray himself as a ‘peacemaker’:

- Lukashenka is a very funny potato pancake. A lover of talking a big game. By the way, he never says things without a reason. No need to expect impromptus there - just planned signals. He's like a spaceship - he keeps sending signals. To Putin, to the world community, to Trump. This spaceship Potato Pancake-1 has the main goal - to stay in power and physically survive. If Lukashenka is not in power, his survival becomes an issue.

That is why it is important for him, despite his age and serious health condition (we can see how he is shaking, his weight is huge, his sugar is high, his voice disappears, sometimes he can't speak), to retain power. However, his statements are not worth a picayune.
