Russian tourists in RVs were swept into the sea in the Turkish resort area of Kemer, Antalya province, after a heavy downpour. People were rescued, writes RIA Novosti.
It is noted that the Russians were vacationing on the coast of Chamyuva, at the place where the river Agva flows into the sea. On Saturday, heavy rain began in the province, which led to the emergency. Russian tourists stuck in wheeled vans were pulled out with the help of an excavator.
"Tourists from Russia, who were inside the flooded vans, were rescued by Kemer municipality's emergency management staff and teams from the Kemer Search and Rescue Association (KEMKUT)," the publication said.
The rescuers also lifted a second van to the shore, which had no one in it, the publication added.
