Viktor Zhuk was put in charge of Grodnoenergo in 2020. He has been working in the Grodno energy system since 1993. According to the project luka.zone, the official "supports Lukashenko's regime and politically motivated repression."

When the protests in 2020, employees of three branches of Hrodnaenergo expressed solidarity with the peaceful protesters and wrote an appeal to the city authorities. They asked for repeated fair elections.
