The data was announced in the U.S. Senate.

Some of the Ukrainian children deported from temporarily occupied territories are being sent by Russia to military camps in North Korea.

As reported by RBC-Ukraine, an expert of the Regional Center for Human Rights Ekateryna Rashevska said this during a US Senate hearing.

She said it was possible to document 165 military camps where Ukrainian children are militarized and Russified. They operate both in the occupied territories and in Russia and Belarus itself, as well as in North Korea.

Rashevskaya showed a photo of 12-year-old Mikhail from the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region and 16-year-old Lisa from Simferopol, who were sent to a camp in the DPRK, 9,000 kilometers away from home.

"In this camp, children learn to destroy 'Japanese militarists' and meet Korean veterans who attacked the US ship Pueblo in 1968, killing and wounding nine American soldiers," the human rights activist said.

Reminder, according to the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubints, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion Russia has deported more than 19.5 thousand children from Ukraine. They are known to be moved, in particular, to Russia and Belarus.
