The plant is considered one of Russia's largest producers of nitrogen fertilizers and ammonia, as well as raw materials for explosives. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time Nevinnomyssky Azot has been attacked by drones. The previous shelling took place in July 2025.
