RF doesn't have modern technology.

Contrary to the development of Russia's shipbuilding industry, the scientific and technical backlog of previous years has been practically exhausted. This was reported in an interview with "Kommersant" by Nikolai Patrushev, aide to the head of state and chairman of the Russian Maritime Board. He noted that now the tasks of the industry have changed significantly. Now in shipbuilding it is necessary to design unique technologies for decades ahead.

"Even today it is necessary to understand what the shipbuilding industry will be in decades, to calculate the demand for technologies, to form conditions for invention and testing of promising models of civil and military marine equipment", - said Mr. Patrushev. Mr. Patrushev said.

Nikolai Patrushev noted that coordination of scientific research is not developed in the Russian shipbuilding industry. They are carried out at the request of individual customers, research often duplicates each other, sectoral research institutes operate independently of each other
