She is capable of hitting her opponent where he thought he was out of reach.
Ukraine's army is one of the strongest and most experienced in the world, as evidenced by almost 420,000 destroyed Russian occupants in 2025 alone. This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU Alexander Syrsky in his New Year's greeting to the defenders and protectors of Ukraine, published on Facebook on December 31.
"The last hours of 2025 are passing by - another year of our steadfastness, our bravery, our feat. Thank you to each and every one of you who are defending Ukraine today with weapons in their hands. Your service, your courage and your sacrifice have already become a part of history. Thanks to each of you Ukraine is, and Ukraine will be," he wrote.
Syrsky noted that Ukraine's strongest argument is its armed forces.
"An army that holds the line against a superior enemy and is able to beat him where he thought he was out of reach," the AFU commander-in-chief emphasized.
Syrsky pointed out that Ukraine's long-range strikes, its technology and Ukrainian determination "weaken and destroy the aggressor's war machine on a daily basis."
So, by means of Deep Strike, Ukrainian long-range drones and missiles, Ukraine's defense forces are "daily burning out Russian military might, the capabilities of the Russian military-industrial complex, its oil refineries," and consequently "the invaders' desire to continue this war," the AFU commander-in-chief added.
"This is our way to a just peace. We have one of the strongest and most experienced armies in the world. And almost 420 thousand destroyed Russian occupants only for this year is a vivid evidence of it," Syrskyy said.
In the New Year he wished the Ukrainian military "fortitude, strength and faith".
"I wish to stand where it is difficult. To win where it seemed impossible. And most importantly - to return. Come back alive. Come back with victory. Hug your relatives, who every day wait for us from this war, believe in us and live this hope. And most importantly, I wish all our country unity. Because in unity is our strength. And in unity our victory. Happy New Year 2026!" - summarized the AFU Commander-in-Chief.
