Peskov was caught on a simple question.
The Kremlin did not disclose where Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was during the reported "attack on his residence" in Valdai.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing a statement by Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov to Russian media.
The Russian dictator's spokesman commented on journalists' question about where Putin was when drones allegedly attacked his residence in Valdai.
"As for the president's whereabouts, under current conditions this topic is not subject to public discussion," Peskov said.
At the same time, the Kremlin speaker called the incident a "terrorist act" directed against Putin and allegedly "against the efforts of US President Donald Trump."
Peskov said Russia "does not withdraw from the negotiation process and continues dialog with the United States," and after the fictitious attack, "the Kremlin will strengthen its negotiating position on Ukraine."
"Russia's military knows how and when to respond to Ukraine's actions," Peskov cynically added, threatening Kiev.
