NYP: Trump Has Been Asked To Kick Maduro Out To Qatar

The US is serious about regime change in Venezuela.
The administration of US President Donald Trump is increasing military and political pressure on the Venezuelan regime to force it to resign.
The New York Post reports.
Sources close to the US administration said Secretary of State Marco Rubio suggested that the 63-year-old Maduro should consider moving to Qatar.
"Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE like to do things like this. It helps build relations with the U.S.," the source said.
These countries are competing with each other for the unconditional favor of the U.S.
At the same time, insiders insist that Maduro is not yet buying mansions in Doha, and that the discussion of Qatar as a potential haven is purely a diplomatic move.
The country has previously helped broker peace agreements, notably between Israel and Hamas, and has hosted senior leaders in conflict regions.
Last week, Trump held a conversation with Maduro, ordering him to resign.
The Venezuelan leader reportedly offered to hand over power to his vice president and receive amnesty for himself and allies.
At the same time, the U.S. administration recognized Maduro and his allies as members of a foreign terrorist organization, enabling it to justify strikes on boats in the Caribbean suspected of drug trafficking.
White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt said the actions were justified by "self-defense to protect Americans and the vital interests of the United States."
