"They saw him in military uniform, but far enough away from the front."
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has said he will not comment on Russian dictator Putin's threats to Europe.
He said this before a meeting of the NATO Foreign Ministers Council, Ukrinform.
"I'm not going to react to anything Putin says. The day before yesterday we saw him in uniform, dressed as a soldier, but not on the front line, but quite far from the front," Rutte said.
The NATO secretary-general said today ministers would discuss ways to "keep Ukraine as strong as possible in the ongoing struggle and also to have the strongest position when peace talks do start to happen."
Ahead of a meeting in the Kremlin with U.S. envoys Steven Whitkoff and Jared Kushner, Putin accused European governments of "sabotaging the peace process." He said Europe's demands are unacceptable to Moscow. Putin also said he "does not seek war with Europe," but at the same time threatened, "If Europe wants to go to war, we are ready right now.".
