You can see the fire from afar.

On the night of December 3, explosions sounded in Russia's Tambov region. Another oil depot was attacked: a fire broke out there.

This was reported by Telegram channel Exilenova+ based on geolocated video from the scene. The defeat had to be confirmed by local authorities.

Exilenova+ conducted an OSINT analysis of a video shot by residents of Russia's Tambov region of Russia showing a fire that broke out after the attack - and concluded that the footage captured the continuation of Ukraine's campaign to destroy oil and gas infrastructure, which helps the aggressor continue its war against Ukraine.

"Dmitrievka, Tambov region. An oil depot was attacked, local authorities confirm," the report noted.

The governor of the Tambov region, Yevgeny Pervyshov, made a statement that the overnight explosions were not without consequences. According to his version, the Russian oil depot was set on fire by the ubiquitous "debris."

"On the night of December 3, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the Tambov region after the fall of UAV debris from the terrorist Kiev regime. Fire brigades and representatives of law enforcement agencies promptly arrived at the site. All necessary forces and means have been involved," the Russian official wrote.

The independent Russian publication ASTRA specified: the Nikiforovskaya oil depot of Tambovnefteprodukt JSC in the village of Dmitrievka was under attack.

The region declared a "drone danger" regime even at the end of the past 24 hours, and also stopped the work of the local airport.

The Russian Defense Ministry pretended that nothing happened in the Tambov region that night. The list of Russian regions over which "102 Ukrainian UAVs were shot down" does not mention the Tambov region.
