Trump: I Talked To Maduro Recently, But Nothing Came Out Of It

Earlier, the US president announced the destruction of a "large facility" in Venezuela.

US President Donald Trump said he recently had a conversation with Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro. The details of the talks were not disclosed by the American president.

"I talked to him recently, very recently, but nothing much came out of it," Trump told reporters during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu (broadcast by NBC News).

The U.S. president said Venezuelan authorities have sent "billions of dollars worth of drugs" to the United States.

In an interview Friday with John Catsimatidis, a Republican and owner of WABC radio station in New York, the American president discussed attacks on ships that transport drugs.

"They have a big factory or a big facility where the ships come from. Two nights ago we took it out of service. So we hit them very hard," the White House chief said.
