Alexander Lukashenko approved the republican budget for 2026 - it is expected to be deficit. This is reported by the press service of the usurper. The shortage of funds in the state treasury will amount to Br4.3 billion.

The state budget revenues are planned at Br54.4 billion, while expenditures - Br58.7 billion.

"Compared with the current year, revenues will grow by 12.4%, while expenditures - by 10.4%. The main revenue growth will be provided by VAT, income tax, profit tax and revenues from foreign economic activity," the politician's press service reports. - The tax burden for the vast majority of taxpayers remains unchanged."

The "social orientation of the budget" will be preserved.

"Health care, education, social support, culture and sports remain priorities - the financing of these areas ensures the availability and quality of services for citizens," says the press service of the politician. - The budget provides for increased funding in other priority areas: science, agro-industrial complex, export support.

Reminder, for 2025 the minus of the state treasury was planned in the amount of 4 billion 459.3 million rubles. This difference in revenues and expenditures was going to be closed at the expense of new loans, as well as balances in the budget for previous years.
