Lavrov claims Ukraine tried to assassinate Kremlin host.

Ukrainian drones launched an attack on the Russian president's state residence in the Novgorod region on the night of December 29, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, "Meduza"

He said 91 drones were destroyed. There were no reports of casualties or damage. Lavrov did not provide evidence that the AFU tried to attack the residence.

The Russian Foreign Minister said that because of Kiev's attempt to attack Putin's residence, Moscow would not withdraw from peace talks, but would reconsider its position "taking into account the Kiev regime's final transition to the policy of state terrorism."
