He has already taken Russian occupiers prisoner.

American volunteer Bruce Keller, serving in the 63rd separate mechanized brigade of the AFU, said that he decided to come to fight in Ukraine after the meeting of US and Ukrainian Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky, which took place in February in the Oval Office.

He said this in an interview with the "Ukrainska Pravda". According to Keller, it was the events of that meeting that became a turning point for him and influenced his decision to leave the United States and join the Ukrainian army.

The volunteer said that during the negotiations, in his opinion, the Ukrainian president was treated humiliatingly. He admitted that he expected different behavior from the representatives of the American authorities.

"The way they talked to him and the way they treated him - not only him, but the entire Ukrainian people - looked like a demonstration of disdain, despite all the previous promises. After that, I realized that I had to go to Ukraine. I was very angry. This was the last straw," said Keller.

At present, he is serving in the 63rd separate mechanized brigade of the AFU. Earlier, the military of this unit published a video in which Keller, along with fellow soldiers, takes four Russian servicemen captive in the area of Serebryansky forestry. In the recording, he is heard ordering them to come out of hiding, after which the captives kneel down. Later, the American treats them to cigarettes and says: "Enjoy your meal."

Keller later explained that he was trying to reduce tension and avoid unnecessary casualties.

It is known that the volunteer has four years of experience in the U.S. Marine Corps.
