One of the leaders of the Belarusian opposition, co-founder of the Belarusian Christian Democracy (BCD) Pavel Seviarynets recorded the first video after his release, publishing it in his new personal Telegram channel.

In it he thanked everyone for their support during his imprisonment and for the reception in the countries where political prisoners arrived.

"Of course, the fact that we were taken out of Belarus is a lawlessness. But I believe that we will definitely return and embrace on our native land. I've served 5.5 years in prison, and I've already served more than 11. I spoke Belarusian all the time, I didn't sign a petition for pardon, I didn't admit my guilt. Although I don't condemn those who did it," he said.
