China has not yet demonstrated its readiness to join the peaceful settlement of the war. Beijing's actions only strengthen Russia's financial capabilities to continue its aggression against Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this while answering journalists' questions.

Commenting on China's position, Zelensky noted that Ukraine had counted on Beijing's more active role in the diplomatic process, as this country has real leverage over Moscow.

At the same time, as the president emphasized, no steps have been taken by China to stop the war.

-I do not see China's readiness to join the peace track yet," Zelensky emphasized.

He also drew attention to the economic factor, which directly affects the course of the war. According to the head of state, China has significantly increased the purchase of Russian energy resources, becoming their largest importer.

- The money from the export of Russian energy, Russia spends on the war, - the president emphasized.

Thereby, according to Zelensky's assessment, China's current role does not contribute to a peaceful settlement, but actually allows the Kremlin to continue its military aggression.

After the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, Ukraine has repeatedly called on China to use its political and economic influence on Moscow to stop the war.
