Polish Police Appealed To Citizens Because Of Weather Probes From Belarus

The balloons flew into the country on Christmas Eve.

Polish police appealed to citizens to be cautious due to the appearance of smuggled weather balloons that crossed the border from Belarus. This is stated in a statement published in the social network X.

According to law enforcement agencies, so far seven so-called smuggled balloons have been found, which flew into Poland from Belarus on Christmas Eve. Four of them were found in Podlaskie Voivodeship, while three more - in Lubelskie Voivodeship.

The police said that as soon as the information was received, measures were taken to search for them and safely seize them.

The law enforcers also urged citizens not to approach the balloons when they were found and not to try to take any action on their own.

The department emphasized that when receiving information about the location of such objects should immediately call the emergency number 112 and inform the appropriate services.
