Over 140 attacks in one year.
During 2025, the Ukrainian Defense Forces will carry out more than 140 attacks on oil refineries and oil depots in Russia and its occupied territories - that's 51.1% more than last year.
This was reported on Friday, December 26, by "Wrap".
The piece points out that there were 94 attacks in 2024 and 27 in 2023. In 2022, Ukraine had 18 such attacks. According to media calculations, since the beginning of the full-scale military invasion of the Russian occupiers, Ukraine has carried out at least 281 attacks on Russian refineries and oil depots. At least 230 of them were effective, i.e. 82%.
In addition, the strikes in 2025 have become deeper than in 2024, journalists state.
Last year, the farthest target was the Salavat refinery in Bashkortostan - we are talking about approximately 1,300 kilometers in a straight line to the border with Ukraine. In 2024, it was attacked once, in May. This year it was attacked twice, on September 18 and 24.
The Bashneft UNPZ was also hit - it is about 1,350 km. In August, the Ukhta refinery in Komi was hit - about 1,750 km, and in October drones flew to the Tyumen refinery - about 2,000 km.
The attacks led to disruptions in gasoline supplies in 57 regions of Russia.
