A Russian drone hit a five-story apartment building in Chernihiv. As a result of the strike there are casualties among civilians. This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv city military administration Dmitry Brizhinsky in Telegram.

The hit in a 5-story building, resulting in a fire in an apartment, occurred on Wednesday, December 24. Also then, the enemy attacked a critical infrastructure facility.

- Preliminarily, one person was killed. Three people are wounded, among them one child," Brizhinsky said.

The head of the Chernihiv OVA Vyacheslav Chaus said on Telegram that the hit by an enemy UAV on Christmas Day on a five-story building in Chernihiv was very violent because people were at home.

- One person died - an 80-year-old woman. Eight more people were injured. Three of them are in serious condition. These are preliminary figures," Chaus noted.

He added that the impact caused significant damage.

According to the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations, the house from the 2nd to the 4th floors was destroyed.

- A fire broke out. Fire extinguishing and debris removal is ongoing. All services are working on the site, - stated in the message.

The State Emergency Service added that 4 residents were rescued, 9 more evacuated from the house.
