A Woman Was Found Dead Under The Rubble Of A House In Gomel

A woman was found dead under the collapse of the ceilings of two floors in the house on Kosarev Street in Homel. This was reported today at the meeting of the headquarters on liquidation of the consequences of the emergency situation.

Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Andrei Baranovsky said that specialists carried out the necessary dismantling work. When dismantling the rubble on the sixth floor on December 22 at 21:30, the body of a woman was found. According to preliminary information, it is a resident of the house. In connection with the incident, Homel Regional Executive Committee expresses its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

The Department of the Investigative Committee of Homel voblast continues to establish all the circumstances of the incident, the causes and conditions that led to the tragedy. The necessary expert studies have been appointed. The legal assessment of the incident will be given after a set of investigative actions.

On December 17, presumably as a result of a domestic gas explosion, the ceiling slabs of the seventh and eighth floors collapsed in one of the apartments.
