Iran may be preparing a new strike.

Israeli officials have warned the administration of US President Donald Trump that Iran's missile exercises could be preparations for a new strike on Israel, Axios reported, citing Israeli and US sources.

Israeli sources said that although intelligence only detects troop movements in Iran, the IDF has lowered its risk tolerance threshold since the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack.

One Axios source said that Israeli intelligence expressed fears six weeks ago after it detected the movement of Iranian missiles.

"The probability of an Iranian attack is less than 50 percent, but no one is willing to take the risk and just say it's just a drill," the Israeli source said.

At the same time, U.S. intelligence has yet to see signs of an imminent attack.
