Trump Intrigued By Statement On Maduro's Future

The US president has not ruled out a possible war with Venezuela.

United States President Donald Trump has not ruled out a possible military campaign against Venezuela in the future.

According to NBC News.

"I'm not ruling it out, no," Trump said on the network.

The president also announced tougher measures against oil tankers off the coast of Venezuela, in particular their blocking.

"It's up to them (the Venezuelan government - ed.). If they continue the routes, they will sail to one of our ports," the US president added.

NBC News notes that Trump refused to answer a question whether the overthrow of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is the ultimate goal of his policy on this issue.

"He knows exactly what I want," the US president replied.
