Trump Has Signed The U.S. Defense Budget

$800 million is envisioned for aid to Ukraine.

On Thursday, December 18, US President Donald Trump signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026.

The White House website reported.

The law signed by Trump provides for a record annual military spending of $901 billion.

With regard to Ukraine, the document provides $800 million - $400 million each over 2026 and 2027 - for Ukraine under the Security Assistance Initiative, which includes the purchase of U.S. weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

This comes as Trump's team negotiates to try to stop Russia's war on Ukraine.
