Zelensky Responded To Putin's Outbursts

The Russian economy is incapable of further warfare on a large scale.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has commented on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's new statements about the war in Ukraine, noting that the actions of allies determine how long Russia will be able to continue a full-scale war. According to the correspondent of UNIAN, the head of state said this during an online briefing in WhatsApp.

"First of all, the signals that Putin gives are absolutely not new for us. I've always said that he doesn't want to end the war. The question is, can he continue it? This question already depends on our partners, on their pressure, first of all sanctions, but also diplomatic," Zelensky said.

The head of state noted that now American colleagues in public and non-public formats claim that Putin is supposedly "ready to end the war."

Disagreements on the draft peace agreement

At the same time, as the president noted, Ukraine supports the Americans' initiatives.

"We do not agree with all the features of certain future agreements. You know about it. We have some disagreements on the territorial issue, on financing, on frozen assets, and there are some other issues that are not agreed upon," Zelensky said.

Expecting pressure on Russia from the US

"But nevertheless, I don't think Putin's economy is capable of continuing this war in the volumes that it was before. If the sanctions do go through. And if the United States is honest and open. If Putin now slows down this diplomatic wave - and now it's such a big one in recent times - then the United States will push them more. We'll see," Zelensky emphasized.
