Expert Reveals What Ukraine Actually Hit Russian Submarine

It's about an underwater marine drone.

During the SBU operation, it was not possible to directly hit the Russian Federation's 636.3 class submarine "Varshavyanka" in the port of Novorossiysk. This opinion was expressed by military expert Mikhail Zhirokhov said on air on Radio NV.

"For me, it is obvious that the defeat was nearby, the defeat was not to the submarine itself," Zhirokhov said.

At the same time, he added that what is important in this operation is the very means of defeat that the Ukrainian Defense Forces used. According to him, it is an underwater marine drone, not the Sea Baby that most people are used to.

"Such drones have been developed and even shown to the public. If you remember the Marichka drone is a mini unmanned submarine. And they make this inference that it was a Marichka or another drone that was controlled by satellite internet. And so far, it's not accurate enough to hit the submarine itself. And all the hits have been secondary. It is a blow to the fences themselves, but the explosion was so strong that it damaged the submarine as well," Zhirokhov explained.
