Explosions In Rostov And Bataysk: Russian Oil Tanker Hit

Russian cities were attacked with drones and missiles.

Since the evening of Wednesday, December 17, it has been turbulent in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. Explosions erupted in Rostov-on-Don and neighboring OBOZ.UA.

The drone attack on Rostov was confirmed by the city mayor, Alexander Skryabin. He claimed that it was repelled over the city's Western residential area.

Later, however, Skryabin claimed that there was a fire on a tanker, which suffered near the berth in ZZhM as a result of the UAV attack.

"The forces of operational services are extinguishing the fire on the tanker. Spillage of oil products was avoided. Unfortunately, there are dead and injured. Information is being clarified," he wrote.

A fire also broke out in Bataysk after the explosions. Locals reported that light was lost in some settlements.

Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar said four residents in Bataysk needed medical help.
