The command of the Russian Black Sea Fleet is now in despair.
Ukrainian underwater drones can ambush and hit Russian ships when they leave Novorossiysk for the Black Sea.
Andrey Ryzhenko, captain of the 1st rank of the reserve, former deputy chief of staff of the Navy, told KIEV24, commenting on the defeat of a Russian submarine of the Varshavyanka type by SBU Sub Sea Baby drones, writes unian.net.
Ryzhenko said that the fact that the Defense Forces conducted such a successful operation means that they were able to pass into a very protected circuit of the basing point. In his opinion, the command of the Russian Black Sea Fleet is now "desperate" and is assessing the threat that has arisen.
The specialist explained that Ukrainian underwater drones do not necessarily need to strike at the Russian basing points.
"They (the drones - note: the drones) can be in ambush. They (drones - editor's note) can be in ambush, on the outer roadstead - waiting for the ships to go to sea... This is a very serious threat, it is unexpected for the enemy," the expert emphasized.
He said that the hit submarine "Varshavyanka" belongs to the new Russian warships - carriers of sea-based cruise missiles "Kalibr", with which the occupants quite often hit Ukraine.
