The blackout came after a drone attack.
In Russia's Krasnodar region, 38,800 consumers were without power on Wednesday, December 17, after a drone attack, Russia's regional operational headquarters says.
Local authorities say the de-energization occurred "as a result of falling debris." Emergency crews have partially restored power, but 12,700 people are still without electricity, the Russian operative headquarters said, writing nv.ua.
The Russians also confirmed that the refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban was hit and that process equipment and pipelines were on fire.
In the Slavyansk district of Krasnodar Krai, schools and kindergartens were partially suspended due to water, electricity and heat cuts, according to the statement.
On the night of December 17, the Web wrote about a series of loud explosions in Krasnodar Krai, particularly at an oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban. The Russians claim the strike damaged five homes and injured two people.
