Ales Bialiatski Met With The President Of Lithuania

Lithuania supports the U.S. efforts to release all Belarusian political prisoners.

On Monday, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda met with 2022 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Ales Bialiatski, who was released from prison on Saturday, writes lrp.lt.

- We are greatly relieved to hear the news that after years of unjust imprisonment you are finally free. Your resilience, moral strength and unwavering commitment to human dignity - even in the most difficult times - inspire us all," said the Lithuanian President.

Gitanas Nauseda noted that Lithuania has always supported and will continue to support the efforts of the United States of America to release all Belarusian political prisoners.

- Together we have consistently emphasized that the Belarusian regime must put an end to all political repressions and not start new ones, that democratic, free and fair elections must take place in Belarus.
