Kiev warns of Minsk's hybrid attacks on EU countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine "supports the actions of friendly Lithuania in response to the constant launch of balloons with contraband on its territory from Belarus, as well as the need to respond to these actions not only by Lithuania, but also by the entire European Union," reads the commentary of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry circulated on December 11.
It is noted that "such actions of the Belarusian regime pose a threat to the security of the international community. Undoubtedly, Minsk is not acting independently. Russia provides support for such violations of Lithuanian airspace," Kiev believes.
"Previous unfriendly actions also included targeted operations to seize assets of EU companies on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, blackmail, acts of sabotage, dissemination of propaganda and disinformation," the commentary reads.
In the opinion of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, "Russia, with the participation of its satellites, demonstrates its readiness to expand its aggression and destabilization policy not only against Ukraine, but also against the rest of Europe".
