Russia will achieve the goals of the "special military operation" in any case, whether by military or diplomatic means, Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said. He received a sharp response from Ukraine's post-presidency Andriy Melnikov.

Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that Russia is counting on diplomacy to achieve its goals in Ukraine, but this scenario is hindered by "European hawks".

- I think today no one has any doubts anymore that Russia will achieve the goal of the NWO in any case. The only question is whether it will happen militarily or diplomatically. We reaffirm that we prefer the second, but due to the subversive actions of European hawks we still do not see serious prerequisites for this," he said during the UN Security Council meeting.

- Our territory and our sovereignty are not for sale. We are not at a Christmas fair. We are not at the Cherkizovsky market. Russia wants Ukraine to capitulate, Russia wants us to lay down our arms, and my answer is: 'You will get a hole from a bagel, not Ukraine,'" he said in English and Russian.
