The U.S. Has Been Pounding Southern Syria For Days

More than 15 ISIS caches were destroyed.

The U.S. military, in conjunction with Syria's Interior Ministry, discovered and destroyed more than 15 sites with weapons caches of the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group.

The attacks were carried out Nov. 24-27, U.S. Central Command reported.

The caches were identified as part of Operation Inner Resolve in conjunction with Syrian forces throughout the Rif Damashq province. Numerous airstrikes were carried out on the caches, and ground explosions were also carried out.

The operation resulted in the destruction of more than 130 mortars and rockets, several assault rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines and improvised explosives materials. The law enforcers also found and destroyed illegal drugs.
