Lukashenko "disappeared" In Oman: What Ties Him To This Country

  • 1.12.2025, 10:55

Three facts.

Having flown to Oman on November 28, Alexander Lukashenko "disappeared": as of the morning of December 1 there is no information about the progress of his "working visit." What ties the regime to this Arabian Peninsula state? This is what "Salidarnasts" writes.

Lukashenko already flew to Oman a year ago: there he went on excursions

In mid-December 2024, the ruler of Belarus flew to Oman for the first time since 2007.

At that, he devoted two days to excursions.

The Sultan of Oman visited Minsk a month and a half ago

After that visit, the relations between the two countries began to develop rapidly.

Then, the ruler's eldest son Viktor also participated in official talks with Haisam bin Tarek Al Said.

After the talks, it was announced that Oman plans to build a pulp and paper mill in Belarus with an impressive investment of $1.4 billion. It's not quite clear why Oman needs it.

Lukashenko dreams of creating a tourist cluster in Oman

After the talks, the ruler of Belarus said:

- The land is allocated to us so that we could create our own huge tourist cluster there. So that people could fly not only to Turkey and Emirates.

It should be noted that direct charter flights from Minsk to Oman started in February this year. But the flight is long and quite expensive.

For now, one can only speculate why the ruler "disappeared" on a new visit to Oman. Given the nature of last year's trip, we can assume that Lukashenko is busy with vacation. In the past, he regularly flew to the neighboring UAE for winter vacations.
