Scientists Have Shown A Part Of A Thousand-year-old Wall Of Ancient Minsk

Scientists from the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus have shared the first photos of a unique find. These are parts of the thousand-year-old wall of the ancient city on the Menke River.

The conservation and stabilization of the archaeological tree, which had been lying in the ground for centuries, was carried out. The assembly of ancient structures has begun.

Scientists have previously stated that Minsk was founded in 997 - 70 years before the first mention in the annals. It was believed that Minsk was first mentioned in the Tale of Bygone Years in 1067 in connection with the Battle of Nemiga.
