Explosions in Saratov and Engels, partial blackout in Volgograd region.
On the night of November 8, Russia massively attacked by drones. The network reports a series of explosions in the Saratov region, as well as a partial blackout within Russia's Volgograd region, writes Focus.
In Russia's Volgograd region, drones hit energy infrastructure facilities. This was reported by local Telegram channels, citing an official statement by the region's governor.
Russian authorities claim that the drone attack was allegedly repelled by air defense forces. However, despite this, a number of settlements in the Volgograd region lost light after the explosions.
"Repair services are restoring power supply to settlements adjacent to the Balashovskaya power line substation in the Kikvidzensky, Uryupinsky, Novonikolayevsky and Novoaninsky districts," the governor said.
In addition, drones attacked Russia's Saratov region overnight. According to Russian publics, locals heard at least 10 explosions, particularly around Saratov and Engels.
Before that, Saratov airport was closed due to the UAV threat. The Russians also introduced the "Cover" plan at the airport in the Penza region.
Monitoring channels noted that a local oil refinery in Saratov was tentatively under attack. However, there was no official information about this at the time of publication.
According to the Russian newspaper Izvestia, citing local authorities, at least one resident was injured in Saratov due to a drone attack.
In addition to the above regions, explosions were also heard in Kursk late on the evening of November 7. Russians reported a drone attack on the city.
A fire was also reported in the Russian city of Ryazan near the refinery. Before that, local publics wrote about the fixation of drones in the region.
