Stockholm is not naive about the Russian Federation.
Europe needs to prepare for long-term isolation of Russia amid the continuation of the Ukrainian conflict. Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said this following a meeting with Estonian Cabinet Chief Kristen Michal, ERR reports.
"We have never had more control over the Baltic Sea. And that, of course, irritates Russia. It's our sea. I strongly believe that Sweden, Estonia and the rest of the European Union should prepare for a long-term isolation of Russia. Things will not end with this war," he emphasized.
Kristersson added that Sweden is not naive about Russia. He also said it was necessary to strengthen deterrence and limit the actions of the Russian submarine fleet in the Baltic Sea.
