Taking into account the Russian-occupied regions of Ukraine.
Alexander Lukashenko visited Mozyr district on November 6, opening a bridge over the Pripyat River. There he spoke about the fact that Belarus needs a road "to reach the Black Sea," reported the state TV channel STV.
The reconstruction of 86 kilometers of the M-10 highway (Russian border - Gomel - Kobrin) on the section from Rechitsa to Kalinkovichi was discussed during Lukashenko's visit. The politician argued about what would happen "if we build a nuclear power plant in the east," and then mentioned "eastern regions."
"Look for resources first of all at home. If you can't find them, then come to me. But this road must be put in order. We do not need it yet, why build a four-lane road if it will not be loaded? But to Mozyr it should be like from Minsk to Gomel. Of course, we need this road to reach the Black Sea. But taking into account the eastern regions [of Ukraine], which are Russian now, it may be in demand," Lukashenko said.
At the same time, at Mozyrshchina, Lukashenko said at the bridge opened across the Pripyat River that Belarus "connects the shores" including for Ukrainians:
"We are open - please come, Ukrainians. We will gladly welcome you. We will provide your families, your children with the same life as Belarusians - in terms of education, health care".
