Lukashenko Threatens To Introduce Paid Medical Services

  • 6.11.2025, 15:10

So far for Belarusians living abroad.

Lukashenko is outraged by the fact that Belarusians, who have left abroad, allegedly come back home to receive free medical services.

"We have 10-12 thousand people moved to Poland. Although, they say, a million left. It doesn't matter how many. But they go to Grodno to get their teeth treated. Why? Because it's free here. Nothing is free. It's the budget - the state pays for you. That's why a decision will be made here," said the dictator.

Lukashenko said he doesn't prevent the population from going abroad for work, especially to Russia, but he demands that those who left pay for medical services in Belarus.

"You, having received good money, come here and pay. We'll pull your tooth and anything else you want. But only at your expense," he said.

It should be noted that earlier Charter97.org wrote that the Ministry of Health is working on the issue of limiting the opportunities for free treatment for those not employed in the economy ("deadbeats"), as well as citizens of Belarus, who permanently reside abroad. They want to make many services for them paid, including scheduled operations.
