The laureate of the Czech prize "Histories of Disenfranchisement" called for fighting for the release of political prisoners.

Activist of the civil campaign "European Belarus", former political prisoner Polina Sharendo-Panasiuk has received the Czech prize "Stories of disenfranchisement" ("Příběhy bezpráví").

The "Basta!" TV channel asked Polina Charendo-Panasiuk about the award:

- The hall gave me a standing ovation. This applause belongs to all political prisoners. It is their courage and resilience that Czechs have honored.

The Czech History of Lawlessness Prize is awarded to individuals who actively resisted the communist regime.

Since 2020, the prize has been awarded outside the Czech Republic.

I, together with Ksenia Syromolot and Nikita Emelyanov, received it in 2021 for unjustified imprisonment and special courage in the fight for freedom and human rights in Belarus.

All this time my family and my associates have been fighting for me: demanding harsh sanctions, and pressuring the regime for my release.

The award helped to break the cycle of repression. After all, solidarity at the international level is much stronger.

Polina called to support the prisoners Viktoria Kulsha, Olga Mayorova, Elena Gnauk, Elena Lazarchik and called to fight for their release.
