Rutte Laughed At Putin And His Threats Of Nuclear Weapons

The NATO secretary general said he stopped paying attention to the Russian dictator's statements a long time ago.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has laughed at Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and his "nuclear threats." He noted that he stopped paying attention to Putin's statements a long time ago.

This is reported by Digi24.

In a meeting with Romanian President Nicusor Dan, journalists asked Rutte if there would be a NATO response to the convening of the Russian security council and the Russian dictator's threats to "resume nuclear testing." In response, Rutte openly mocked Putin.

"I stopped reacting a long time ago to the meetings that Putin organizes. He is paid as president of Russia, that's why he organizes them," the NATO secretary-general replied.

We recall that Putin said during a meeting of Russia's security council on November 5 that Russia would immediately begin preparations for "full-scale nuclear tests." And Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov said the United States was allegedly practicing nuclear strikes on Russian territory during the Global Thunder exercises in October 2025.

U.S. President Donald Trump said last week that the United States was planning to conduct nuclear tests. According to him, "other countries" have already done so, so the U.S. should start as well. The U.S. Army then test-fired a Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile on Nov. 5.
