The dictator believes that the West intends to inflict a strategic defeat on the Russian Federation.

Western countries are allegedly trying to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia and break it up, Russian leader Vladimir Putin said. He is quoted by RIA Novosti.

"Now more and more often they are talking about some kind of decolonization of Russia, and in fact, dismemberment of the Russian Federation and inflicting on us the same notorious strategic defeat," the head of the Russian Federation explained.

According to the president, the West has been pursuing this goal "for not only decades, but centuries."
