The air harbor was out of service for nearly 30 minutes.

Vilnius airport was temporarily closed on November 5 for almost 30 minutes due to a drone. This was reported by Delfi.

Temporary airspace restrictions were imposed in the morning, at 9.50.

"According to available data, the situation had minimal impact on two flights. The airspace was reopened around 10.18 a.m. and all operations at the airport are now proceeding normally," said Lithuanian Airports spokesman Tadas Vasiliauskas."

Reminder, due to the increasing number of cases of weather balloons with smuggled cigarettes from Belarus, which paralyze the work of airports, Lithuania decided on October 29 to partially close traffic on the border with our country until November 30.

Vilnius believes that official Minsk is involved in the launch of balloons with contraband. The EU threatened to impose additional sanctions against Belarus if "hybrid actions" against Lithuania continue.

On the night of October 31, Vilnius airport was once again forced to suspend operations due to the balloons. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda threatened to respond to such cases in "all possible ways" - in particular, shooting down the weather probes, as well as "raising the temperature" with national and European sanctions.
